Couldn't agree more, Jack Kerouac. Especially in the last decade, it felt like that on a regular basis! I am going to reverse that feeling in a few weeks though, time to visit home again...

Maybe if you live away from Austria long enough going back will be like visiting a foreign country as well.
I think I am at this point already!
One example: they introduced the Euro since I have lived in Canada - in an Austrian grocery store I have to examine all these new coins now. That definitely makes me feel like a tourist in a foreign country!
