You Are What You Eat

"You are what you eat" - if this is true, then - influenced by Gourmet chef Deanna - I must turn into something dark green, fishy soon ;)!

But really, what we eat become the building blocks for our bodies.

food arises from rain...

I have two rules when it comes to food:
  • it has to taste good
  • it has to make me feel good or energize me

Tuna

Oh, that's what a cast iron pan is for! Note to myself: need to get a cast iron pan... More fishy goodness with onion, blood orange and dill.

Looks tasty!

I sometimes mix the fish with a vegetable say spinach or cauliflower to fuse the two tastes. Cooking is an art; there are too many variables to control. You have to develop an intuitive sense :)

Definitely true, what you write about intuition!

Did some green fishy fusion yesterday: fresh halibut with tarragon - more a herb than veggie, but the fusion went well.

I need to get a cast iron pan and a gas stove!

Thanks for the delicious buttery salmon pate on the weekend!

You are very welcome! The buttery fish was rainbow trout though not salmon - it's even local - a little pricy, but definitely worth it! You can get it at the Calgary farmer's market (Cookbook company) - right next to the place that serves awesome kamut bread and almond croissants.
